Anniversary fun through a lens

This year for our 6th anniversary we decided on the beach.
Somewhere pretty with lots of food and drinks.
Byron Bay.

Candice and I both LOVE mexican so Miss Margarita was a must.
As were jugs of sangria.

Cocktails by the ocean, chili and all.

We even managed to capture a few non distorted panoramic photos on our phones

We had an awesome time away and can't wait for our next escape
where ever that may be.

43 days to go

So every year I try to set myself a goal for the
next 365 days, give or take a day.
You know, in case of a leap year and all that.

My 2012 goal was to complete a year of blogging.
I wasn't really sure what I would ramble about or how often
and I struggled in the beginning.
I struggled so much in fact that I didn't even start this blog until the 4th of March.
A bit of a fail on my part.
Since then however, I had published 61 posts.
So considering that I had only intended to commit myself to 1 post a week,
I think I've done okay.

I apologise for any whiny, boring or repetitive things you may have
been subjected to over the last 46 weeks.
That's my bad writing and grammar mixed with bad spelling.
Oh, not to mention, scotch, wine and beer.
Something I will never apologise is for my opinions.
Those are mine and mine alone.
And I'll have you know I treasure those little fuckers so just let them be heard.

I've really grown to enjoy blogging over the last year
and I'm kinda sad it's almost at the end.
More than that though, I'm really excited that years from now I can type
Paperdoll-shauna into Blogspot
and a year of my thoughts and memories will pop up onto the screen.
I would encourage anyone and everyone to give it a go.
Why not I say.

So I'll try and pop up as much as I can in the next 43 days so
I can talk a whole heap of shit and share
the little wins that are my life.

Until then, love to you all.

Infatuation of the week #6

Of the gentleman variety,
Neil Patrick Harris

This dude is pretty awesome.
He is comfortable, confident, brave and proud.
As a result of this, he is living a life of pure awesome.

Does everyone remember him as the clever kid from Doogie Howser, M.D?
I was 5 or something but even I remember it.
Maybe the intro song will jog your memory...

Since then, Neil Patrick Harris has grown up.
He's got married to his parter, David Burtka,
and they are now Dads to some lovely little twins.

These boys have been together for 9 years and I think they are just the sweetest.
So here are some pics of some sugar coated goodness.

Walking pups before the twins...

Walking pups after twins...

I can't wait to have a little family like this.
I plan to ensure that our little one will never see us be ashamed of who we are.
They will know they are part of a family that will never stop loving.

But back to Mr Patrick Harris.
Did you see his performance at the opening of the 65th annual Tony Awards?
Bringing broadway back.

And of course an Ellen interview where he chats about his kids.

What a man.

Infatuation of the week #5

Here we go.
Scarlett Johansson

This woman reminds me of those glamorous 1920-1950's actresses.
Um, so she is rather stunning.
I'll be honest here and admit that I haven't seen all her movies... not even close.
There is the good and there is the bad.
Ghost World and Lost in Translation. Yep, those are gooood.
However, what about
We bought a Zoo or The Nanny Diaries? Hmm.
I suppose I really shouldn't judge those last 2 as I haven't actually seen the films, just the trailers.

Confession.
I quite enjoy a lame, badly acted action movie if there is a hot girl in it.
Enter the Black Widow.

In case you weren't aware,
(the whole comic thing is new to me too)
the Black Widow is a
Marvel comic character and quite an interesting one.
Russian, orphaned, taken by the Soviet Intelligence for training,
and rescued by a dude called Ivan, who later became Wolverine.
Then after world war 2, she became part of The Black Widow Program,
which was an elite team of female agents.
Yep you heard, an elite team of female agents.
As Liz Lemon would say,  I want to go to there.

I know Iron Man 2 is a silly action film.
As is Avengers, plus a load of other actions I confusingly enjoy.
I just don't over complicate my feelings about it.
Looks good = feels good = watch more = watch again.

Enough of that though.
Words aren't really needed anyway.

Some lesbians love huge boobs.
I'm not really one of them.
You see, although I'm extremely mesmerised by all,
it's small to medium that I'm ultimately into.
Often there is an exception.
Scarlett certainly isn't small...
But dayyyummmm.
Infatuated.

Until next time
