In the hope of making the remainder of Spring
a more productive time, I have decided to set a few goals.
Simple goals.
- I'm going to cut out all the junk takeaway.
I tend to eat a lot of bad foods out of laziness, often making the excuse
that I don't have the time to make/eat anything better.
This of course isn't true as I probably have more time than most people,
considering I don't have any kids or outside of work commitments.
When I'm hungry, I need to eat then and there or people get hurt.
So, to avoid taking the easy way out and grabbing a handful of potato chips
or a vege burger from Mr Hungry Jacks,
I'm going to be prepared.
However, I still have taste buds and refuse to cut out foods I love.
Both cheese and bread are close friends of mine.
I just wanna rid myself of completely lazy eating habits.
Spring is fresh and leading up to summer all those delicious stone fruits come into season.
*drools*
2. I'm going to exercise *gasp*
That gasp was from me...The lazy side of me is appalled at even the thought of fitness.
I'm so good at reading all about exercise and I'm even better at buying exercise equipment.
Sitting all dusty in our garage at the moment is a
giant treadmill, rowing machine, ab circle pro, weights bar,
dumbbells, step thingo, skip rope and a giant pink exercise ball.
Oh and a nice new pair of expensive runners (still blindingly white) that I bought 3 years ago.
Basically we have ourselves a gym.
I have bargained with my lazy side and we have agreed to start with
15 little minutes a day with the hope of gradually increasing it.
The smaller the goal the more likely I will stick with it.
Mind you, if I turn into a fitness psychopath like this girl below,
feel free to shoot me.
3. Walk my dogs Yoshi & Luna
These dogs are still technically puppies which means they
most definitely have a lot of energy.
When my partner first spoke of getting dogs, one of the things
I was most excited about was walking them.
The problem we have faced though is that dogs don't just automatically
know how to be taken for walks.
They think it's them taking you for a walk.
This is the case with our oldest (1 yr old) dog.
She is so strong and I struggle to keep control of her and despite some
training, she never really got the hang of it.
She also barks at other dogs and people.
I know essentially it's our fault as owners for not practising with her enough
so we need to start trying again.
Luna on the other hand isn't strong at all and doesn't bark at people so I think she will be fine.
I could probably take Luna for walks on my own but at this point not Yoshi.
However, that seems really mean to only take one so then neither of them get walked.
My new plan is to walk them 2-3 time a week with my partner.
Hopefully by the end of the month Yoshi & Luna will both be lovely little walking buddies.
Just look at those adorable faces.
How could they not be perfect walking buddies.
4. Finish reading a book
I have too many books on the go at the moment and I just want to finish at least one!
Springtime is perfect for grabbing a decent book and heading outside to read in the shade.
So I plan on burning through quite a few this Spring :-D
So these are just a few of my goals.
I have many more but I'll focus on these ones to start with.
